one late, late night..while watching TV..
The best thing to come into my house since my Snuggie and the Clapper is the Shark Steam Cleaner. I am pretty decent about picking up junk, putting away things, straightening. I don't like the corners, tubs, fridges, detailed cleaning. Too time consuming and there are so many things I would rather be doing. The nice young woman on TV a few nights ago knew this and offered to help out.
So..
This little gadget is wonderful for cleaning up the little tight areas. I highly recommend this to anyone who has a space to live in. I have raved about it for two days.
Aren't we addicted to gadgets? but wait..if you order in the next ten minutes, we will throw in the attachments for free...
I bought it.

a day
We can do anything for one day.
When I start my "resolutions" for 2012 it will be one day at time..not next year, next month, but one day at a time. We can accomplish anything for one day.
Today..I will...eat healthy and move my body for half an hour.
Today I will not take things personally realizing everyone carries their own crosses.. they aren't mad at me, just mad at the world.
Today I will be thankful for my wonderful children who totally fill my heart. For my husband who takes such good care of me. And for friends who bring me joy.
Tomorrow is another day and I will handle it when the sun rises. The sun always rises.

The Movie-New Year's Eve
It isn't often I rave about a movie. The movie New Year's Eve is one of the best movies I have seen.
Not on a deep, profound way...but in a total feel good, laugh, cry, head scratcher kind of way.
The movie is full of big names and very well written. Two thumbs up!
Happy New Year! (for real).

New Year's Champagne Punch Recipe
A great recipe from fellow blogger "Between Naps on the Porch".
Yum!
Champagne Holiday Punch
Ingredients:
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
3 cinnamon sticks
4 whole cloves
2 cups cranberry juice
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 bottle champagne (Korbel Brut works great)
Small amount of Grand Marnier (or any orange liqueur you prefer)
Red sugar
Green sugar
In a saucepan, bring water, sugar, cinnamon sticks and cloves to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
Discard cinnamon and cloves.
Cool to room temperature and pour into a large pitcher.
Add cranberry juice and pineapple juice.
Chill in fridge until ready to serve.
At serving time, add 1 bottle of chilled champagne.
